2009 year. Sochi

4-5 of September 2009 Bioecology Co. Ltd. (St. Petersburg) organized several projects which were called to draw public attention to the problem of pollution of environment because of people’s activity un-der the annual National Project «Russia’s Toilets». Themes of the Festival were: not authorized discharge of sewage, not burnt wastes and our eternal question – «toilets». It was the first experience to organize such show on the territory of South Federal Region, earlier it had been organized in St. Petersburg only.

Business program:

Press conference of representatives of company-organizer and administration of Housing and Pub-lic Utilities of Sochi took place in the information centre RIA NOVOSTI where parties came to a decision of necessity of mutual communication between administrative authorities and business in process of finding solution for Olympic question – support Capital of Olympic games with modern and accessible conveniences. «Today Sochi attracts people from all over the world. Carrying out of Olympic Games should be accompanied by the decision in best traditions of all ecological questions» – said Chairman of Administrative Housing and Public Utilities, Andrei Laptev.

All-Russia specialized conference which was held in «Marines Park Hotel» attracted specialists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Krasnodar, Tver’, Irkutsk, Rostov, Tyumen’, Kirov, Ar-changelsk, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland, USA. Meeting in Sochi was an effective communicative area for companies-participants – people could view the situation of development of this sphere in other regions and it was very important in period of economic instability.
Meanwhile, there was an unprecedented action on picking up dust and not burnt wastes. Voluntaries of Russia’s Ecological Movements «Wastes are not here» and active workers picked up dust on Sochi’s beaches. Not only mass media but that is more valuable, townspeople and tourists participated in that ac-tion.

Festival program:

To draw people’s attention to the good, modern toilets organizers of Festival made a big Show with animation films «Kadr», «Mill» with video-reference of popular Russian stars from large screens. On the street stage people can observe show-program of theatre «Licedey», performances of groups «Happy Chance» and «Pushking». Without any false artists remained people that a good toilet is a feature of highly developed state and higher level of people’s cultural background. Show went in the interactive mode; also people can see the competition of Sochi’s graffiti artists, they tried to reflect ecological and anti-ecological themes on the plastic toilet cabins. Late in the evening there was a disco from «Autoradio Sochi». Near the stage spectators could see best models of portable toilets and WC module pavilions which could be placed in any region of the country. There were cabins with heating, DVD, sensor mixer, big mirrors and toilets for people with special needs. Company-manufacturer of such models of toilets (St. Petersburg) suggested to use these toilets during Paralympics Games 2014 in Sochi.

There were 10 thematic articles, 5 TV plots, including Federal Channel «Russia-Vesti». All local state and private TV and Radio stations of South Federal Region (RIA News, Itar Tass, Rosbult) quoted the news from the press-conference and Festival. Such search systems as google, yandex, yahoo, mail re-flected news from Festival, there were 39 web-sites concerning the show.
